Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail

Hey. It's been awhile.
I've just been really preoccupied to blog much. My work has started to kick in, becoming more busy lately. Greater expectations I guess, as I hit the 1 year mark. Not sure when or why, but my superior is starting to become more of a stern serious face guy. Just have to deal with it I guess.

You know, this week there were 2 events I was hesitating to go to. One was the ICEXPO and the other one was Cosfest. Just some cosplay events. I've never really been to too many of these, so I thought I'd go and take a look. At least, that's what I thought I would be doing. But I didn't plan even what time or how to go or who to go with. So I slept late on Friday, and overslept on Saturday. Missed the ICEXPO. Made an impromptu plan to go Cosfest the next day, but didn't confirm with my friend. So I ended up doing other stuff instead. Oh well.

I guess it's as they say. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Change, isn't as simple as saying and hoping for it to happen. Change must be intentional, planned, and well executed. It's that last part I'm really struggling with. Execution. That has always been my major challenge. My main strengths lie in dreaming up and conjuring all these awesome ideas and elaborate plans. Yet when it comes to actually putting the tire to the road, getting it all done well, I fall short. So yeah, I really need to work on it.

I think the best way, is to write it all down. So that at least I put it out there, and I have something to refer to. So here's the list of events that are still available this year:

Well, at least these are the events I managed to get from Google. Not sure if I missed out anything else. It's not like someone would give me a list of everything...

So yeah, I do intend to attend these. Call me if you wanna go along. If not, I will probably head down alone to look look see see. Like the country bumpkin I am. Haha. The main problem is that I don't have a proper camera with me at the moment. Ever since I sold away my RX100, I'm left totally naked, gear wise.

I've been thinking of getting a FujiFilm camera coz I've heard how awesome their jpeg color rendering is. Yeah, I'm kinda lazy to edit RAW if I can help if, so straight OOC it is for me. Oh, and reviews have put some fuji lenses on par with Leica, so that helps too. The only problem is that the cameras available are all quite dated... I'm waiting for the refresh, but it still seems so quiet. New sensor, new processor, faster focus, anything. Please. I'm eying something portable and easy for travel, yet packing superb image quality. So, my natural target is the successor to the Fuji X-M1. Faster release leh...

Alamak, this weekend is a loooong weekend sia. Plus I took leave on Monday to lepak. Where to go sia. I don't suppose anyone wants to meet up? I post here is equivalent to not asking. Nobody ever replies to my posts anyway. How how how?

Sometimes I wonder where all my friends disappeared to. Haha.
