Recently discovered this awesome artiste. She is so young, yet so super talented. I foresee that she will become very successful and popular in future. I really enjoyed her acoustic performances. Always a fan of the more human side of music as opposed to the electronic side of things that is become so mainstream nowadays.

Discovered an awesome band lately. And it's not just some girly pop band. Her voice is EPIC. Too bad they're not active anymore. Only have 1 album. Shall have to follow Fuki's solo work.

Basically been addicted to DOLL$BOXX and Band-Maid recently. More heavy metal rock than I'm used to, but hey I'm liking it man.

Wagakki Band - Tengaku

Recently discovered this really awesome band!
They fuse traditional Japanese Instruments (Wagakki) with western rock instruments, and a super talented japanese opera type singer. What results, is a really different and interesting sound! I'm strangely kind of hooked on it now.

What's better, they also did a bunch of covers of Vocaloid songs. I like that because I still dislike Vocaloid as I believe in the more natural and human aspects of music. Call me old school if you will, but this band definitely proves human voice is better than machines. Go humans! :)

Better Life

Yo what up gaiz! Nigga been listenin to sum mewziks!

LOL. Whatever. I've just been downloading some new songs to listen to coz I need some new material. My 1.5K+ music collection is getting stale already. Plus now I'm using Google Play Music, so storage is not an issue. Just put everything in the cloud and stream from there. Convenient!

I remember, last time I used to listen to music all the time on my commutes. Back in the good old days. Back when I was so naive. Back in year 1 basically. I was still living in a fairytale back then, until things fell apart so quickly. But I won't delve into that now. Then one day, dunno why I suddenly stopped doing that. I think it's since I got my data plan, now I got other stuffs to do. But can do both at the same time what... I have no idea also. Now my iPod is sitting there collecting dust.

So anyway back on topic. Flower recently released their first self-titled album. AND IT IS AWESOME!! I like that they can actually sing, rather than simply dance around. Great music and vocal prowess is important to me, and Washio Reina kicks ass! They are arguably better than Dream, but Dream has a decade more experience.

Another band that released their new album sometime back, is my overall favoritest band of all time, F.I.R. I grew up listening to them. They were with me for every important exam. O-levels and A-levels. I digress. Their latest album is called BETTER LIFE. I literally just got it only. Usually I go out to buy their CDs, but this time can't find it leh. It's like 10 songs only.

I haven't listen to all of them yet, but this album seems a lot more raw and stripped down as compared to previous ones. It's like they have matured a whole lot, and it's more down to earth. In fact, I think this is the first time they have acoustic songs in the album. I think it's Faye's idea, coz she's into that. But I like it! The other songs a pretty good too.

Seriously, you guys should give it a listen. Not bad!

Okay.
I know I have practically abandoned this blog for a couple of months already... Look, I had many matters to attend to ok? And internship itself was pretty busy. Overall, I would just say it was a real complicated summer for me.

Good news!

Sorry guys, no time to post my uber long blog post. Too busy preparing.
But I just wanted to post something before I go to camp.

I've prepared all my army stuff already. And just loaded all my SAO (Sword Art Online) episodes into my iPod. Did some personal grooming, folded my smart-four and polished my old boots. Hopefully I didn't miss anything.

Good thing is, now can bring camera phones. Recruits nowadays are so damn lucky. Back in my day, the sergeants all fucked up one! My batch was literally the "transition" phase between traditional ah-beng army, to the now "3G" army. No LTE yet though, wait long long. LOL.

I try to occasionally update my Twitter + Instagram + Tumblr with pics where possible bah. Better not to get caught for some nonsense 'offence' or anything. Facebook especially risky. So please follow me for updates!

I finally get to watch SAO after so long. Wanted to watch it like 3 months ago when I saw it. But the super power of 8MC project took up almost all my time. It was like I was only taking 1 module that sem, and it even took away my sleep and weekends. Now I shall watch 24 episodes 1 shot!

Recently discovered a super awesome song. This Japanese band actually has pretty good English standards for Japanese it's quite surprising. Listen!

Seriously. It is damn blooooody slooooow!!! Can't stand NetBeans. Sometimes it seems that Java is so powerful and nice in terms of the concept. But in reality, it is damn inefficient and requires super a lot of overheads! No wonder none of the banks will ever use it for micro-second transactions. Boo. 

Anyway, got a quick few seconds to make this post, so I shall be posting a song that is stuck in my head these few days. 

Can't believe people didn't know about Cassadee Pope before TheVoice competition. I mean, I thought she was pretty famous already. From Hey Monday, the band that sang Homecoming? Anyway, she has quite an awesome voice, and I've been listening to Hey Monday since Year 1, their first album. Used to walk and take bus from Harbourfront. Good times... Good times...


As good as it is though, I kinda still prefer the original. Can't beat the legendary Avril. Doesn't matter what she sings, it will be good no matter what. Miss the attitude she had when she was younger though.

Randomly heard this song again on the radio the other day.
Whenever I hear this song, I can't help but thinking back on the opportunities I had that I didn't take. That other people eventually capitalized on to their benefit. If only I hadn't let those opportunities slip... Is this considered jealousy? Do I have the right to be jealous?


Haiz... Then there are my random thoughts on time travel. Although I have safely concluded that it is impossible, what if it is possible? If you were given a chance to change your past, what would you change? I don't really have a huge list of things I would do differently, but there is 1 or 2 major turning points in my life that I may perhaps change.

Still, I'm not sure I would. It would mean that the me as I am right now would cease to exist. Would that be a good thing? Maybe I will live a much happier life instead of being emo all the time? Who knows...

The butterfly effects of time travel are sure hard to plan out.
It usually fries my brain before I get too far...  :-\
