Japan Reflections P2

Well, as promised here is part 2 of the Japan Reflections.

Day 4

Day 4 in Japan! In the morning, we took a super long bus ride to Kinkakuji to see the famous Golden Pavilion. It was such a freaking long ride, that we had a stop over. Me and sis went to grab an ice-cream during the stop over. Coz there's nothing more local and boss-like than eating ice-cream in the freezing winter! After the short walk at Kinkakuji, we headed to Nishijin Textile Center to watch a kimono show, and have a quick lunch. In the afternoon, we visited Kiyomizu Temple that is famous for their mineral water that flows down from the mountain. I actually filled half of my empty bottle with the water! Those other visitors must be so judging us. LOL. In the evening, we went to Nara Deer Park and Todaji Temple. Was really looking forward to take pictures and play with the deers. However, it was closed… So we just left and took another long bus ride to Osaka Dotonbori area to eat some ramen and takoyaki. If anything, I'd say that the bus rides are too insanely long. We should have taken the trains. Perhaps that would burst the budget a little, but all the waiting if definitely not worth it!

Day 5

Day 5 in Japan! In the morning, we made a trip down to Osakajo to take a look at the exterior of the castle and play with birds. Really, it was quite rushed. We didn't get to go in and look around much. Just took a few pictures at the exterior. Following that, we went to Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum to get ourselves some alcohol for the occasion! They have exhibits there showing how the wine was made in the past, and also lots of sample wine for people to try! I personally didn't buy anything, but I rather enjoyed the samples. Highly recommend the peach wine, very sweet and nice. In the afternoon, we took yet another super long bus ride to Kobe to visit the Chinatown of Japan for some snacks. Sounds weird right? Why go Japan to see Chinatown, but the street food is still ok lah. And the Starbucks there... I have a story to tell, but will save for future, when I update this post. We then headed to Kobe Harborland to do some shopping, and blow money on the arcade. Which incidentally I have a story as well, will update later. In the evening, we just went to eat yakiniku for dinner. It was buffet style bbq and nothing very special. Did see a mini santarina army there though, which made my day. :)

Day 6

Day 6 was our final day in Japan. We didn't even really spend the entire day in Japan. In the morning, we straightaway made our trip to Kansai International Airport. There, we had about 1 to 2 hours to do some last minute shopping, look around, and say our final goodbyes to Japan! After checking in, we just shopped around. Went to the Starbucks inside and felt slightly cheated. They had all the variety of cups there! You didn't even need to go to Kobe to buy the Kobe one... So, I bought the Tokyo one since I didn't get a chance when I was in Tokyo. Also cheated me was the Kyoto and Osaka Koibito snacks there. I didn't need to specially buy from those 2 places leh! Lastly, I also took the chance to buy a small Pikachu since this one confirm is exclusive there. It has a pilot suit with KIX printed on it. Cute! After that nothing much, took the monorail to our terminal to wait for the sad trip back to SG. I will so miss that place! :'(

More updates to come soon. I'm tired and I need to sleep now.
