Renovations Complete!!

It took me many hours, but the new blog theme is finally done!

The old theme had way too many broken CSS/HTML codes and looked like it was gonna fall apart anytime. Probably coz I didn't know any web design at all back then. Totally zero. But internship has let me learned much CSS and web design. So, now puttin' it to good use eh?

Anyway, regarding the changes. Well the first thing you'll notice, is the new layout. Duh! It's now more grayish and clean looking, compared to the messier one before. I was trying to go for a more Web 2.0 look, and I really loved the cursive fonts the moment I saw them. And of course, the icing on the cake, is the touch of Javascript animation running at the top of the page. Like floating clouds.

The old theme basically represented a diary scrapbook. Where I randomly penned my ideas, thoughts and reflection. It worked for awhile. Until you realized that nobody really cares about your thoughts.... So, this new theme is kind of like me living by myself in a lonely house on a hill..

Okay, the second thing you'd have noticed by now if you waited for it. I totally removed the Jukebox. Mixpod wasn't working anymore, and  even when it did it only blasts at max volume. It was just a legacy piece of crap that had to go. So, I spent many hours finding a suitable alternative.

So, what we have now is a slim and stylish music player bar, located at the bottom of your browser. The great thing about this new one, is that it doesn't just "reset" you, when you click on any link. Your music will literally follow you from page to page and continue playing seamlessly! I was also kind enough to set default volume to 10%, but you can turn it up if you like. Hopefully we'll save quite a few eardrums this way.. The next thing I did, was to completely revamp the entire songs playlist. I painstakingly combed thru my entire music list to find more mellow, acoustic and feel-good songs, that didn't start with a bang, albeit still containing great lyrics. You can even view the new playlist by clicking the bottom right button.

Hopefully now, some people (ahem), will be better able to enjoy the music on my site!

The only bad part about this new theme, is that you can't access the comments from the main page anymore. But then again, that's always been blogger's limitation. You CAN still comment on the posts. But you need to click on the post title first. You will be brought the the full post page, where you can comment. So, no excuses! :P


In any case, thanks for the wait. And thanks for supporting and reading my blog. The new face-lift and revamp is finally done. Though I won't consider it 100% complete. When I have the time (I won't anytime soon), I will continue to make tiny new additions. Like more widgets, links or designs.
