Monday was still cool. Had lunch with the FC gang for the first time since the course. Though I must say, the choice of venue was rather questionable. We had so many people, and someone (I won't name names), proposed to just head to the coffee shop opposite to eat lunch. Such a small place, and the food sucks. Not to mention, it started raining shortly after, leaving us stranded over there. So just ran across the road lor.
Interestingly enough, I was asked by one of my friends there about Galaxy S4 battery charging problems. Honestly, I really got no clue coz it's been a really long time since I've used a Samsung. I think HTC and Sony are currently the best Android smartphone makers right now. Anyway, so I went home and tried being helpful by Googling for solutions lor. Msg her on FB but no reply. I really thought she "dao" me. That would be rather upsetting. But actually, it's because she hadn't installed FB on her spare phone. LOL.
So yeah, Tuesday. Our department had some innovation event. Basically we only had 2 hrs to discuss and come up with ideas for some project that will span the next year. And I'm leading this project. Whut? Stress. I still need to submit the project plan, which I haven't started doing. Had some family matters to attend to, and then basically procrastinated the weekend away. I think I die liao lah. Monday night sure no sleep. FML.
Well, Wednesday onwards was the bomb drop. Basically, my maternal grandma passed away... I had to go down Wed night to pay my respects and see her body for the last time. Thursday I had to leave work early because the funeral processions started pretty early in the evening. Then Friday was the actual send off, cremation and bone picking. It's really sad to see her go like that, considering they looked after me when I was a little kid. The worst part is that I feel she could have lasted longer. But the complicated family politics caused her to endure unnecessary suffering. Perhaps it's not my place to say anything. On the bright side, she did live to a ripe old age of 90++. Not too bad. I dunno if I'd even live that long...
Saturday wasted my time away. Supposed to write the plan, never got around into the mood for doing it. Haiz. Then Sunday I went to SITEX to look around. Finally decided to buy the Creative speakers, since they were on sale. I am using them right now, the T4 Wireless. The bass is damn power, but the mids seem a bit muddy. I'm not exactly an audiophile, but even I can sense it. Maybe it's just my laptop audio source. I need to find out how to tune if possible. But otherwise, a really solid speaker system. Supports bluetooth and NFC pairing too, for mobile devices. I think that for $249 is overall a pretty good buy. Should complement my future iMac pretty well. :)
Well, that's my quickie update. I guess it's not so short after all. I just like to keep going on. But now I really really need to go wash up and sleep liao. Meanwhile, here's one of the songs I used to test my speakers. Eargasm.
