Hey all!
Welcome back to my blog, and a new semester of school!
This will actually be my final sem of university life. Graduating this summer. I have made the decision to revive this blog! I will actually start posting stuff here again as long as time permits. I know I haven't done this in a really really long time. In fact, it actually feels a little unfamiliar. Not sure if I still remember how I used to do this all the time.
So let's start with the easiest stuff shall we? I'll just blog about my daily stuff that has happened. Basically, Monday was first day of school for me. 9am Monday lessons are tough, but hey I only got 2 lectures a week. Monday and Friday. So close to the weekends. -_-
In any case, the modules I am taking this semester are IS4224 - Service Systems to fulfil my specialization, and IS3260 - Gamification just as a UE module coz of interests. In addition to that, I am continuing my FYP project, so don't think my life very free and easy hor! The second part of the FYP is mostly coding the actual system, and writing that 50+ pages report. Expectations are important to set also. I basically need to score an 'A' for everything, in order to secure my Second Upper Honors. Sounds tough, but I think doable. I just need to get 'A' for my 2 modules, then if my FYP gets 'A' I'm all set. I think generally FYP usually they will give B+ and above. My only job is to ensure I'm in the A/A- range, the rest is up to the evaluators.
So, about my day. Monday I woke up on time, surprisingly. I have been sleeping at wee hours in the morning for pretty much the whole holiday. Was always late for the SAP course also, not that I learnt a lot from that. But... PASSED (yay!) I was really scared I would have failed that, had to double check my answers before I dared to submit. In the end managed to get 60%, not bad for 1 day of mugging eh? But yeah, I digress.
Monday. As I said, somehow I was on time. I reached there (SR1), the lights were not on. The lecturer not yet reached. LOL. Too punctual already. The first lecture is pretty boring as it's only an intro and she was talking about the importance of services yada yada. Then came the worse part of my campus life. Forming groups. By far, I think I have the hardest time forming groups. I know a ton of people there, but only briefly. And then, they all know each other, so they form their own groups immediately, leaving me alone. Sobs. Thankfully, I have some stragglers that I know also, but mostly foreigners, and the local guy is the same slacker from my 8MC team.
So, we ended up forming our motley crew of misfits. I seriously hope is all works out in the end man... I really need that 'A'. They don't seem to respond to my messages all that often. Definitely not a good omen at this stage, but we'll see, I remain hopeful. To add to the "surprise", we kena arrowed to do a debate next Monday. Like seriously? First day only got assignment to work on! And then the opposition team of our debate are people I know one. The whole lot of them are JC kids, so can expect their language to be not bad one. Does my foreigners crew stand a chance? I'd like to believe so... At least they have me, so I'll try my best.
So that about sums up my first day at school. I have lessons on Friday as well, so I'm seldom in school these days. Applied for campus accommodation, but got rejected 3 times so what can I do right? I'm fated to be a loner, might as well embrace it for now. That's not to say that I don't want to change! In fact, this year's theme for me is all about change and transformation. Like a phoenix bursting up from the ashes and flames, soaring into the skies like a rocket. LOL. But in all seriousness though, I really want to change myself, improve my attitude, my image, my thinking, my behaviour, everything. And I believe I can do it. Especially with graduation just on the horizon, the opportunity for change has never been greater!
And as a tribute to change, I shall loop this song:
And if you'd prefer, a kpop song with attitude! lol
To be frank, I have no idea what she is singing, but that attitude is bad-ass! Haha. Anyway, that's it for now. I gotta start doing my work already. Super overslept today. If you see me around in school, please say hi! It means a lot to me. :)
