Project Windfall... Falls

So yeah. You know all that pretty elaborate and nice plan I was talking about few weeks back? Yeah, it all came crumbling down to dust within this short period. And it's all because I got pang seh by one of my best friends. I never imagined that he would let me down so badly. So much so that I kinda felt rather betrayed for a day or two. I mean, I put in so much effort into that thing, planning and executing, and I didn't expect much out of him. Just a little cooperation would have done the trick. I really wanted it to work. For us to motivate each other to achieve something greater. Yet, he gave up on me halfway...

But I've had quite a few days to think about it. I understand his difficulties. I don't hate him. After all, he is still one of my lose friends. It would be sad to lose one of the few friends I have left. I mean, he did share that he has a rather heavy work schedule, which requires him to join online meetings at night, and some self-study on other nights. But honestly, it's doable if you really want to. Just spend an hour or 2 over each weekend is enough. But yeah, I won't force him to do it if he doesn't want to. I'd much rather maintain our good friendship.

That naturally brings me to the next question. Any of you interested in joining me in this project? I'm not looking for an employee. You will join me as a partner, and we will put in effort together to make it all work out. I'm not sure how many people still read my blog, but I just wanna put this out there in case anyone sees it. If you are from the same course as me (NUS IS), you already have the skills necessary to do everything. If you're not, basic knowledge in HTML/JS and an eye for design is what you need. Let me know if you even have the faintest interest to find out more. I will share the entire project plan with you.

Alternatively, I can solo the whole damn thing, but it's super tiring and hectic. Not to mention the lack of an additional perspective, and no motivation. See, the main problem is I don't feel motivated to do work at home anymore. Most of my work is done outside of home now. It used to work last time when I was in school, because there was structure. I had time in school, time at home, and I had deadline for all my assignments. And of course, the consequences attached to not doing them. The accountability and responsibility is all there.

The crazy solution I thought of, is to buy myself a Macbook, and set aside a timeslot every Saturday to sit and Starbucks and get the work I need to do done. Since I already commit to the time, and I'm already outside, I might as well get it done right? Also, being outside with a shitty Macbook would also mean I can't do any gaming, hence removing any potential distractions.

Now, I'm not saying that I am a irresponsible and unmotivated dude. Quite the contrary in fact. I really want to get this project up and running. So, I am willing to do what it takes to make it happen. Interested in working on something fun with me? Do contact me and let me know!
